Laptop for Christmas

Did anyone buy anyone a laptop or tablet for Christmas? If so what brand and model did you buy? What made you go with your choice?

 

My parents bought my sister a Dell Chromebook and she was happy with it. They wanted something cheap that she can use for both school and her personal time. She doesn't really do anything but browsing and writing occasionally so it seems to be good enough.

 

I might get a tablet next year I still don't know what kind of tablet I should ask to my fiance next year, but I think it must be a Windows based one. Not a fan of android based tablets to be honest.

 

I didn't get any electronic things this year because I didn't ask for one nor do I need anything. I did receive a portable hard drive for my MacBook and I am happy with it.

 

I was thinking of buying one for myself on groupon. They have a lot of choices to choose from and they can range from 299 and up. I think I might also make the transition from pc to mac.

 

I bought a new Ipad mini, i went with that model because its easy to carry around my place of work (hospital). The retina display is out of this world.

 

I got a killer deal on a Clevo/Eurocom system. Its running Ubuntu and super cool.
