You need to use your installation media ( dvd ) or if you have made a recovery dvd

    to restore/fix your system

What is the operating system your using.

What make is your machine? ,some if not all makes contain a recovery portion on the hard drive.

If it does not have this then, Your going to have use someone else's machine to download it, and put

it on either a flash drive or dvd for you, then when your ready you need to go into

the motherboard settings by pressing F2 then altering the boot section

    to boot from cd/dvd first.

This was the information that I needed to know a few months ago when I had so much trouble with my HP window, and should have done a recovery installation, or at least take it to a repair man. Now, it is completely dead, I was told yesterday from Office Maxx...

@IcyBC I tried turning mine on again the other day. Occasionally when I let it rest in between attempts, it will start up and let me use it, but this time it didn't. At least mine's giving me the choice of starting normally or starting system repair, even though neither option ends up working.
