Nine new icons have recently appeared in the "My Disc" window of My Documents. They are all "links to shared libraries"
What are these? What action did I perform to cause these to be created?

As an example one of them has the following filename:

    libfreeb13.so

Can these be safely deleted? Somehow I have a feeling that they can't.

I'd suggest moving them to somewhere else (make a directory called 'liblinks' or something, and shift them to there). If somethign breaks, you can move them back!

I had this happen once, deleted them and nothing got damaged. I have no idea what caused it - presumably some program sprayed library links over the home directory rather than in the right placed.
