I installed a 1gb stick of ram a couple days ago and i noticed that sometimes after a few minutes/hours of having my laptop on the disk light shows green like if the computer is loading something but it just stays on and my cursor freezes. I then have to hold the power to turn it off and back on. Also sometimes randomly when booting after it gets to the blue aspire one screen it will restart again and then load the screen and finally the desktop. This seems to hapen about one out of every 3 times i use my computer. Did I install the memory wrong? I was thinking of reinstalling Linpus or maybe trying a different version of Ubuntu. Any suggestions to whats going on? Thanks.

What type of RAM you've installed?? There are some problems with 667MHz RAM - you can find reports on this forum.
