Though most laptops have some useful stuff mapped to the function keys, I really, really like the implementation on the aspire one. Sleep - display off - trackpad off - mute - number pad - and rather innovatively a screen lock. Since theres no hibernation on the Linux version at least and no docking or removable drives this is all you need. But nothing left out, thats the cool thing. And the screen is so bright, and the distance to the keyboard so small, that I dont even miss my Thinklight!
