    I am sure this has been asked a 1000 times but I cannot download to the acer aspire one zg5 ie skype asks for password doesnt seem to like the password i put into bios thanks

    your right it has been asked and answered a thousand times...use search....its in the right hand corner
    meantime do this
    in terminal type:
    sudo su (enter)
    passwd (enter)
    then it will ask you for a new one. Type it in once then it will ask you to confirm, it will not show on screen

    Thanks for the reply I am new to linus type os I assume that a terminal is found with alt f2 when i type in box and enter it disappears ,never to be seen again

    you should find it on right click on desktop after enabling the "advanced" menu. Its not really advanced but it should be the gateway to your learning about linux. DONT use the update software update in this menu it will update as if the system was running on the full distro of fedora 8 (which is what linpus is based on) and cock up your system.Knowing that it is based on fedora 8 should guide you to finding the right packages for the future.

    now can activate advanced,I can see skype but will not run i assume its the one I downloaded from acer
    will try and find fedora8
