first of all , iam a total newb to linux and i got about 5 questions
1)i updated firefox useing the macles guid and i had no error's at all bhut for some reason when i run firefox it opens version 2 instead of 3 (most be a setting cause i accidently found it bhut lost it again so it is installed bhut it is hiding , any idea's how to set is as default? i know i'f readon it before somewhere bhut cant find it again :? )

2)is there a posability to get 3G on it? when i load system information and hit the netwerk tab it says 3G/WiMax: Unknown , posability to install a 3G chip or is it already installed bhut just not activated???

3)my external hd is formated in ntfs and when i connect it to my one it plain simply says unkown format ntfs how do i solve this?

4)is there a nice step bye step guide somewhere how to install a sidebar like screenlets?

    5) is there a nice step bye step guide about how to install rpm's whit detaild information or the .tar.bz2's whit detaild information and whit exampels (screenshots or something like that)

iam pretty sure that its out there somewhere bhut hard part is to find the decent stuf instead of just a a slight look at the things

There is no 3G module included in the One. There is room for one in the empty space you can access through "the bottom hatch" - but Acer left out the connector. Installing one will therefor not be trivial.

Open up a terminal and type:
    Code:
    sudo yum update fedora-release
    sudo yum install ntfs-3g
Or install ntfs-3g through Add/Remove software.

Rpms can be installed with add/remove software simply by double clicking on them. You need rpms for "fedora 8" if a site offers you multiple options. I will not bore you with the vastly more powerful commandline rpm commands ;)

tar.bz2 is the unix equivalent of a .zip file. It can be unpacked with the archiver program - or once again: from the commandline.

So.. do you want to know how the commandline works ;) ?

and the tar.bz2 file's i'f got the mozilla 3.0.3 patch and when unpacking it it opens just a map whit evrything in it so i gues i naw need to apply it or morphing it to a rpm if i understand it correctly (if so how do i do that? btw thx for the help)
