    Bad, bad, bad people to do that to others! I often wonder if these hackers are getting paid to this? Is this a job to destroy others?

    Thank you for bringing us this so we can be aware of what going on!

    Ouch! That is a particularly nasty piece of malware. It isn't surprising, though. As Linux-based operating systems proliferate in their many forms, the bad guys are going to go after them. Fortunately, the systems can be hardened.

    This is really disappointing news, however, this is also good news. One of the best ways to improve a system is when it's under threat. Now, the people behind Linux can work on pushing updates of a more secure OS.

    The important thing to notice here, if you read the article, is that this can only expand via brute force attacks to weak SSH passwords or sql injections. Both these problems are related to bad server administration practices and bad programming practices, the thing has nothing to do with any vulnerability with Linux itself.
