My Aspire One recognizes my HP940 printer, but it won't print. Acer says I need a Linux OS driver. Help!

Have you got HPLIP (Hewlett-Packard Linux Imaging and Printing) installed?.
If you haven't you can install it via the advanced desktop menu (Right Click on Desktop) Search the forum on how to enable this menu.

You then go System >> Add/Remove Software.
The package manager will open and load the repositries (You will need an internet connection)

Let it load then click on the Search Tab.

    Type in hplip
    Then press the enter key
    hplip - 2.8.2-1.fc8.i386 should appear.

if theres a tick next to the package its installed. If there is no tick then tick the square box and click apply.
This will then install the HPLIP package.
