    Hello,

I just wrote a simple application that allow you to change the modes of your wireless card (e.g. adhoc, managed, master, monitor).
With this application you don't have to go in the terminal and type several commands.
The application is hosted on google code , here is the url:

    http://code.google.com/p/aa1-wlancontrol/

P.S.: sorry for my poor english

    Any feedback is welcome!

I was able to install this utility successfully. When I select Ad-hoc and click apply, my existing connection gets disconnected.
Do i have to do something else to create an ad-hoc network.
Can you please post some instructions on how to create an ad-hoc network.

    Thanks

Unfortunately this is quite normal, since there is the necessity to stop the NetworkManager daemon to change the operating mode of the wireless, and for this reason your previous connection gets disconnected.
I just looking for something different, but atm this seems the only possible solution. :(

I've installed aa1_wlancontrol-0.2-1.i386.rpm automatically but can't find a way to start the program. Can you help me?

Edit: Found the icon to start at /usr/share/applications :D
