Linux Mint 6 - works well

    aside from mandriva
    this was actually the easiest of all the distros i've attempted to use
    in terms of getting wireless functioning
    which is obviously a plus

    but I have a major issue with it:
    when ever i try to run 2 of these 3 programs (firefox,pidgin,transmission)
    I run into major slow downs where they last for over 3mins
    and then it just results in me having to log out and then log back in again
    this is rather annoying
    if anyone has had a similar issue and has a solution having that provided would be appreciated
