    Hi,

My Live Update is failing on the following updates:

    Network Manager (180048)
    Display (180051)
    System Configuration (180052)
    Network Manager (180048)
    Date/time (180053)
    System Configuration (180054)

I have read reports of the Fedora/RedHat servers being down (whatever *that* means! ;) ) but is this just me?

    Thanks.

A few days ago, with the large live update, mine failed a few times. I just clicked the try again button and the third or fourth time it succeeded. So it's possible that it's simply a temporary glitch--assuming as was pointed out, that your Internet connection is fine.

I am pretty sure it isn't a connection problem (but thanks for suggesting!)... I have had no problems using either Firefox or Thunderbird and I have tried to update (I think) 5 times on and off since Saturday.

I will try the broken record approach suggested by scottro and report back.

The LiveUpdate is in no way tied to Fedora, or it's servers. It comes from update.linpus.com (or something similar), and that server is known to be a bit cranky

I'm disappointed with live update. It's regularly unavailable, and then the latest one destroyed networking on my machine, both wless and wired. After messing about for a while, I had to restore. These things never happen on my other machines running Debian. (about 50 of them)

I get the impression that these updates are prepared by one bloke on a dodgy old server with a crap connection. You really feel the difference between a company and a community. When I get time I'm going to try Debian on it. Hello freedom.
