    Hi
    I have just got a live update for network manager but when it tried to install it it said error, can't read file. After that I had no internet wifi connection and had to create it again. This is going to happen every time I get other updates as the tick in the box for acepting the update cannot be removed. Any ideas what I need to do?
    Thanks.

    I just updated 2 netbooks. The first netbook, a 2nd generation, updated fine.

    The second update was done on a 1st generation AA1. The update KILLED my wireless card. In addition, the USB boot drive created from the DVD-CD-rom disc that came with the AA1 will not work. I'm attempting to do a re-install using a USB boot drive made from the 2nd gen netbook's DVD disc.

    This is a MAJOR pain in the ass!

    Hello! I'm seeking too for answer that concerns live update for acer one note.
    It worked fine, but now, since I loaded Macles" and update firefox to v. , it does not.
    May I have some explainations?

    I have to say that I'm new on this forum, and know nothing to linux language.
    Thanks a lot.

    hello, here is an exemple of my problem (live update history does not longer worl: "internal error")
    here after, line that I get with prompting suod online update:

    udo onlineupdate
    Open the configure file onlineupdate.conf successfully
    str1[0] = #Protocol ,str[0] =
    str1[1] = Protocol ,str[1] = http
    str1[2] = #server ,str[2] =
    str1[3] = IP ,str[3] =
    str1[4] = address ,str[4] =
    str1[5] = IP_address ,str[5] = cdn.040services.net
    str1[6] = #User ,str[6] =
    str1[7] = name ,str[7] =
    User_name = #Password
    str1[8] = Name ,str[8] = #Password
    User_passwd = #Down
    str1[9] = Password ,str[9] = #Down
    str1[10] = update ,str[10] =
    str1[11] = list ,str[11] =
    str1[12] = file ,str[12] =
    str1[13] = path ,str[13] =
    Http_path = /linpus/ACER/AspireOne/v1.0.6/
    str1[14] = Http_path ,str[14] = /linpus/ACER/AspireOne/v1.0.6/
    Ftp_path =
    str1[15] = Ftp_path ,str[15] =

    It opens the update manager with the same problem.
    What must I do? why passwd is it down? (str1[8]) ffor exemple?
    thanks if you know what to do... or undo?
