Logging onto chat rooms

    I have just bought my Acer aspire on with Linus operating system and have found that i cannot log onto the orange chat room with it. it says 'applet not initialised' in the browser. Any ideas on how i can get it to work please?

    thanks for the suggestion, but yes i went to the java site and interrogated the aspire and said i had it already installed

    All I can think about is JAVA plugin for web browser. Sometimes it's symbolic link to existing plugin in the system...
