For me, the short answer is `no'. I use Linux for almost everything, but video editing is still something I do in Windows. There _are_ Linux video editors like Kino and Cinerlerra (check spelling) but I don't edit video often enough to (a) figure out how to get them to install and (b) figure out how to use them.

And more to the point, is this the machine to do such tasks on in the first place? It's a netbook, or so I thought. :)

    Cheers.

of cause there will be, but as on AA1, I strongly DO NOT recommend you to do so, the graphics and CPU are really not affordable to do such works

The AA1 does not have enough power (and screen size) for heavy duty video editing. However, small edits or transcoding with something like Avidemux2:

    is certainly possible.

I second Avidemux ("sudo yum install avidemux" :) ), it's nice and lightweight and it's definitely more powerful than it appears to be at first. There ARE Premiere-like programs for Linux (such as LiVES or KDEnlive) but the AA1 ain't the platform to try any out on, for both software and hardware reasons.
