Lost the default panel

    The default panel (with the taskbar, clock, etc.) has vanished upon boot-up today, replaced with a blank panel (similar to those that you can add with the panel manager). The panel was working fine when I last shut down, and the boot-up today took much longer, but other than that everything else seems to be working fine. Is there any way to recover the default panel?
