Mac OS X 10.5.6 install for dummies (using iATKOS_5i)

Buddies, no sucess using 10.5.7 update from apple.
Just after apply the 4 diablo´s ketchs from past 1, the image display got blank and nothing is working in desktop beyound mouse.
I think that is incompability of Ketches with 10.5.7.
Solutions?

 

Similar thing happened to me. I fixed it by booting in safe mode, then reinstalling the 10.5.7 combo updater, rebooted, and after my HakBook nano rebooted (twice) I was back with a working 10.5.7 system but with the 800x600 stretched display.

I then deleted the appleintelgma kext and the appleintelintegrated buffer in /System/Library/Extensions, then deleted the extensions.mkext and rebooted.

I then opened kext helper b7 and loaded part 1 of diablo's kexts which contains the gma950 and integrated kexts. Rebooted and bingo, 10.5.7 running at 800x600 (normal, not stretched) went to Displays and selected 1024x600.

10.5.7 now working fine!

 

Can't get it to work...

I followed the steps you mentioned, but after integrating the 4 kexts from diablo, I still have an unreadable screen.
Did you only remove the gma950.kext or more related gma950 stuff like gma950.bundle?
Did you install all 4 kexts from diablo or only the 2 you deleted?
Do you use the vanilla or the vodoo kernel?

 

remove the appleintelgma, appleintelintegratedbuffer and remove the natit if you have that installed. reboot and install only the appleintelgma and appleintgrated. see if that works

 

Api, yes, that is what I did, only (re)install what you delete. 10.5.7 still working

It works with the kexts from the MSI Wind forum.
For audio I just had to rerun the "ALC 268 Fix" from Diablos Pack.

 

hey guys, just got my AOA last week and I'm loving it. I currently have Windows 7 and XP on it and wanna give OSX a try(total noob w/Mac). I'm stumped because I dont have an external dvd drive and I dont have a Mac to prepare the installer. Is there any way to prepare the installer using windows?

if you have windows, then i recommend doing a bootable usb drive. theres a couple of guides out there that explains how to do this.

has anyone found a solution for the internal mic issues (low volume, no adjustment options).
that is the only thing from making mine perfect ,video chats just arnt the same without a mic =/

I tried reinstalling MAC using this guide, but it didnt work!
This guide cant be used anymore

Since the 10.5.7 update is out the 10.5.6 cant be found through software-updater anymore meaning this guide dont work

 

You can always download the 10.5.6 update from Apple's web site.

Heard ipc is good, but i need a way to get it with USB

EDIT: tried with one frmo the MAC site, but it just make my hackintosch reboot now after the apple logo

 

10.5.7 (iatkos v7) works quite nicely, with windows 7 too

 

Hi thanks much for this guide. Mac os works really well on my one.

V v fast and it can stream iplayer well with battery power, which windows cant..

However i have a problem that every now and then my trackpad stops working so i have to reboot to get it to work again...

any ideas?
