    Answering aretx:
"mvil: have you tried 9.6.0 and 9.7.0?? if yes, have you feel some noticeable diference? I've seen here in Spain people with kernel panics with 9.7.0, but sometimes I've also experienced it with 9.6.0. :)"

No noticeable difference. Both versions can give you Kernel Panics, but I believe 9.7.0 is a bit more stable.
I've been using it for about a month now and I only had one KP.
You can find a bit more of technical details here: http://www.osx86install.com/support/22- ... qoopz.html

    "sorry for my terrible English."
Is this the reason why you keep calling us "gays" (homosexuals) instead of "guys" (people)???

    Hi guys (not gays!)!

Yesterday I find something very strange: With the Voodoo 9.6.0 I can't sync or charge my iPod Touch. If I running the Vanilla, the iPod syncs normal.

I will try, again, the unofficial Voodoo 9.7.0 when I go back home.

Does anyone knows something about this issue?

ok im at a total loss here and rory you seem like the go to guy on here from what ive read so far so here goes, although help from anyone at this point would be great. i just got, yesterday, a acer aspire one AO715h because manly it was a frikkin deal at my local store. now i have an eeepc which i installed ipc 10.5.6 onto with no problems, well apart from experimenting. But what im saying is is im not a newbie (now anyway lol) to installing OS X on something else.

therte was a TON of stuff out there about the eeepc and os x but there seems to be very little about the acers. so i have seen that it has been done, but i'll be damned if i can get it to work. so far tried ideneb 1.4, ipc 10.5.6, iatokos_v7, used the cpus=1 on booting from the cd. but as far as i get is the grey apple logo screen and thats it. ive searched and tried this method and that method. im about to give up and take it back to the shop and get something i know i can install os x onto. this is a GREAT netbook, especially at the price i got it for, the full sized keyboard and the big HD screen are awesome.

but i really want os x on it. so after that diatribe i guess my question for everyone is can it be done on my acer? any pointers, links anything would be gratefully appreciated

Having an infuriating dilemma with 10.5.8 on a friend's Aspire One.

System updated with Software Update. Booted with cpus=1 to get around kernel panic, installed Voodoo kernel. Having lots of difficulties getting the GMA950 drivers working, though. Depending on the drivers I try, I'll either get a light blue screen with no mouse pointer, or a grey screen with garbled horizontal lines with a mouse pointer. Tried booting in single user, deleting natit.kext, appleintelgma950 and appleintenintegtratedframebuffer and reinstalling.. No dice, though. Rory's 10.5.8 graphics driver pkg just gives me a grey screen with horizontal lines...

    Anyone solve this annoying problem?

I updated my iATKOS v7 install using the iDeneb 10.5.8 combo update, reinstalled the Voodoo kernel, and the graphics had gone back to 800 x 600.

I rebooted from the iATKOS v7 DVD, deselected all options apart from the Intel GMA950 drivers (all three, laptop, desktop and rare), installed, rebooted, and all graphics back to proper resolution and Quartz extreme and hardware acceleration supported.

i'm not understanding a thing at all...
i've got a 9.8 kernel because i updated my iatkos v5 through soft update to 10.5.8.
then i lost many things such as audio or screen res, which i fixed by using my kexts backup, BUT i get crashes when opening dmg's, and i need to plug usb devices when booting if i want to use them.
    what shall i do then?
thx to those who want to help me
