Media Player for .AV1 files

    Dear All

    What application can I use to play .av1 files?

    I believe that VLC is the answer but I am very unsure which version to download from the website as it doesn't seem available from the add/remove program search.

    Can anyone help a very very basic beginner that knows nothing about Linux?
