I'm currently using a Logitech VX Revolution on it; it's definitely one of the best laptop mice with a boatload of buttons.
However, the larger USB receiver makes things look a little ungainly when plugged into the AAO.
The other Logitech `Nano` mice are nice in this respect as the receiver is almost flush with the surface when plugged in. (You can probably leave it plugged in even when transporting the AAO in a bag)

I'm using a Nano, though it's not the fancier pants VX model. Micro Center has the one I got, about $50.

It certainly is "Nano" in size. :geek: It does still jut out of a USB slot just a sliver, and with a tight slip case I don't recommend leaving it in place (you can sort of wedge the provided slip cover over the Aspire One with the Nano transmitter still in place, but it's not easy to do).

This seems almost James Bond, but you can pop the transmitter into a tiny "holster" inside the mouse in front of the battery content (there's a slide button to slip the battery cover off).

There's a tiny power switch on the bottom of the mouse. When you put the transmitter in the "holster," it shuts the mouse off automatically -- take it out, and it turns on automatically (if you don't realize that, you'll find yourself trying to turn it on while the transmitter's in the holster, and you *can't*, as I learned  )

Despite the teeny size, this still has good range. While demonstrating the Aspire One at my mom's house I was using the mouse a good 10-15 feet away from the unit w/o problems.

The logitech nano mice are an absolute must buy for the AA1, I got mine the other day and as stated the usb connector barely extends past the edge of the case. I have been able to put it into it's pouch with it on in fact. However I prefer to put it inside the mouse as the other post shows. Only issue is linux doesn't fully recognize the buttons for backwards/forwards, but all the key buttons work especially the scroll.

I got the VX nano at the local Costco store and it is perfect for the One. I believe I paid about $45 for the VX Nano at Costco. I just leave the dongle plugged into the usb and never think about where it is. Like the fact that the mouse has an on/off switch so always turn it off when done to preserve the battery. Haven't found a surface yet it doesn't work well on. Looks and works great .

A Vx Nano is a top-mouse but I have 2 problems with the idea of having it with the AA1:
    - It is (here in UK) nearly a quarter of the price of the AA1
-it is too big and does not match the colour of my (white) AA1: all of this would break the harmony (! - what the f is he talking about?)

So I might have it, but for my desktop pc. Instead I ordered this nice little thing:

After investing a whole $10 on a cheapo wireless mouse from Micro Center (which broke after 1 week), I finally gave in and bought a wireless mouse from Microsoft. It works great with the AA1 XP editon and I like the fact that the wireless usb connector fits underneath the mouse and shuts off the mouse.

It's also blue and matches the AA1.

I got a corded Logitech mouse from Fry's for $12.99. It has a little channel that runs around the mouse to store the cord. The USB connector has a snap that fits the bottom of the mouse. It's a medium sized-mouse and easily fits in a pocket. And yes, it's optical.

Here is a picture of one in blue like I wanted, but I had to settle for silver :(

I've got the OCZ equalizer mouse and I'm having trouble. It works great for about 5 min then won't work. It still has power, it just won't move the cursor. Replugging doesn't always fix the problem either. Is this more of a Linux issue or is it the mouse?

I bought Logitech V220 Cordless Optical mouse yesterday. Working great on my AAO running Mandriva 2008.1. It has a on/off switch, when you slide the receiver it'll switch to off and when you pull put the receiver it'll swtich on. Only use 1 x AA battery and it suppose to last for 6 months (I really doubt so). Overall it's a good mouse.

I bought a Logitech Mini Optical Mouse. It's smaller than a regular mouse (duh), so it takes a little getting used to. I bought it because I wanted something small for portability.

I also got the Logitech V220. It's a good mouse and there's a blue and black model that matches my blue One. The only thing I don't like about it is the middle button takes too much pressure to press. It wouldn't matter too much if I used it on a desk, but it's especially hard to press on the mattress, as I like to surf in bed or on the sofa.
