microphone with XUbuntu

    Hi

    I installed xubuntu, and found the internal microphone didnt work. I wanted to post the fix that worked for me : in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf I changed the line

    options snd-hda-intel model=toshiba

    to

    options snd-hda-intel model=ALSA

    and rebooted. after this the internal mic worked fine with Skype.
