I saw the icon this morning too... really looking forward to giving Windows 10 RTM a go on my Surface Tablet. I loathe the Windows 8.1 start menu, so it'll be a relied to have that gone :).

I noticed mine this morning, I'm currently using my old toshiba laptop that has windows 7 home basic installed on it :) I might switch to win 10, is it a good idea guys? Did the people with win 8.1 get the inv too? I'd not know since my new laptop is in the workshop :(

I wouldn't switch unless I read good reviews about it.

Now that is seriously good news because I never, ever do in situ upgrades. I hate them. It may also mean I can dual boot for a while until I work out which one I prefer and want to keep.

That last sentence is also very good to know. You will be able to rebuild the machine after the 1 year is up, with the Windows 10.

Also exceptionally good to know, because not everyone lives on fast uncapped broadband and for me downloading 3Gb image files takes several house because if the speed of my fibre broadband, yep, you read that correct fibre broadband and 3Gb takes hours to download. There is a limit to how many times I would want to wait for that and if I can download an ISO file once and burn it to DVD that is all the better for me.

The Windows 10 update will be in your update files list, the very same way your updates appear.

At some point Microsoft will have to release a ISO, maybe the new legal Windows 10
update will include a new serial number that will work in the future, and provide
the opportunity to do a clean update.

So it's time to retain any released update ISO's files.
