Help! I am planning to buy a netbook/notebook and had decided on the Aspire One Happy Netbook but was told that as I needed powerpoint I would need a notebook with a dvd drive, so I could install Microsoft Home and Student 2010. However I have now been told by someone that has recently purchased an Aspire One Netbook (but not the Happy Netbook) that it is already installed and all I have to do is buy an activation key and that I don't need a dvd drive. Can someone please HELP me. I am so confused and haven't really got a clue what I should do! If it is possible to get powerpoint by buying an activation key I would rather do that as it would save me quite a few £s and also would be lighter to get the Happy Netbook rather than a heavier notebook as I want to use it when travelling. Thank you. :?: :?

    Hi there,

It may be the case that the Happy comes with Office pre-installed in which case you are correct that you only need an activation key.
If it doesn't come pre-installed you can still download a trial of Office 2010 from Microsofts web site and purchase an activation key to use it.

An alternative would be downloading the likes of Open Office which has a program compatible with Powerpoint.

I hope the above clears it up a bit for you?
