I just installed the intel 4965agn and installed a third antenna. I placed the antenna to the right of the touchpad.
With the old card i could se 7 networks from my appartment and now i se 13. So i got a good boost in range.

I also installed the intel 4965agn and have noticed that if I have the wireless turned off via the switch, my battery last one hour longer as opposed to having the intel 4965agn turned on. Thats a pretty significant amount of power draw.
