I've bought an Aspire one 150 with Linpux on it. I've since installed XP and my webcam doesnt show up in the device manager at all. No unknown devices nothing. I have since put vista on and have exactly the same problem!

Unfortunatley I didnt check to see if it was working under linpus .

Is there a hardware button or key combination (like my msi wind) that turns it on?

    Thanks

Did you try looking under Imaging devices ?
Windows provides a driver, unless it's a slimmed down version...

Maybe your webcam is disabled in BIOS ?
This happened to Asus Eee PC 904...

    Hi
BIOS is not the problem. So far I have restored to the Linpus restore dvd that came with the laptop - it wont detect the webcam at all. I have since installed Windows 7 beta and just like XP and vista it doesn't even show up in the device manager.

I did upgrade the ram - could it be that I disconnected it somehow? Does it not run through the main LCD cable that you have to take off?

    Thanks
