It's a new Aspire one, pretty fresh out of the box. I've updated it through the Acer website with Firefox3, and enabled the advanced menu (Alt-F2).
So far so good - and this Linux stuff is easier doing than reading about.
    But.
The icons on the shutdown menu have vanished. When I click on the shut down button on the 'task bar' I then get a blank grey screen, with only the search box, and the right click is disabled.
The only thing I think I might have done is to install the <KDE-Games> package from the add programs dialogue.

Are my icons retreivable? Or, do I have to put up with shutting it down by pressing the power button?

Be gentle with me - I'm a Linux newbie!
