I recently reformatted my AA1 10" to run XP Pro. I was able to successfully install all of the drivers from the Acer support page. All of my hardware is functional. However, now when I change the volume or toggle the WiFi switch on the front of the computer, I do not see any indicators on screen. Am I missing a driver/software or do I need to change a setting?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

you're missing the acer launch manager software. Download it from the place where you downloaded your drivers.

jackluo923 - Thanks! That was painfully obvious. I neglected to notice there were other tabs beside "Drivers" on the Acer Support page.

You can always just add those from within XP.

For the volume go to control panel and then "Sounds and Audio" and check the box for "Place icon on task bar".

For WIFI/network right click on "my network places" and then "properties" Then right click on Wireless or Network icon and go to "properties" and the check box for "show icon in notification area".

And there you have it :D And while you are at it, right click on your task bar and go to "toolbars" and then click "desktop" (you may also want to "unlock" the task bar). Now click on those two little arrows next to "Desktop" and you have access to every thing on your computer including a nifty shortcut to your drives as well as the Control Panel :D

    PARTY :D
