Sounds like a reinstall of the driver might fix it.

In the Device Manager, expand network adapters, then highlight the device you want to effect.
At the top select Action>>uninstall, wait a while while it does its thing, then select action>>Scan for hardware changes. Wait some more while it reinstalls.
I would then reboot, but that may not be necessary.

Had the exact same thing happening. Searched for and updated the updated driver for the adapter, and works great now. Hope that helps.

this little machine does not go well with WEP encryption. I had the same problem and even the new drivers did not work well, until I changed the encryption to WPA2. After 2 weeks of frequent use I can say that I no longer have this problem.

I am having a similar problem with my wife's AAO and the atheros card. The wireless worked great for a couple of weeks but then all of a sudden it quit finding available wireless networks. Now it won't find any available wireless networks to connect to. I have updated the driver, updated the bios and uninstalled the device and let it reinstall itself. Nothing seems to have worked.

    Anybody have any ideas?
