How to bypass router to modem when the router has a built in modem? So my wireless router has a modem built into it, or is it the other way around: modem with built in router. Lol, I'm not sure...But anyway, because I am having such difficulties with the ps3 online, I have been told by many people to try bypassing the router straight to the modem. Is this possible with my situation??

I believe if the modem is combined with a router, the unit is really a modem with a wireless router built in. To bypass the wireless router, you would have to connect your device directly to the modem via one of the ethernet outputs on the back of the modem (typically there are 4 ethernet outputs on a modem).
