I'm running an Aspire One 250 in dual boot mode with XP and Win 7. In Xp my external monitor shows full screen and 1020 x 1024 or something like that -- can't look it up right now. On the W7 side the resolution won't go beyond 1024 x 600. Also the ctl-alt-f1 switch won't work for screen switching. In fact none of the ACER hot keys work.

My guess is that XP running as the original factory set up has drivers for the chip set. The W7 does not.

I have the factory CDs. How do I get the drivers installed and still run W7??
