    Using the information on
    http://thatsquality.com/linux/mounting-windows-smb-file-shares-using-cifs

I've managed to finally get hooked up to the server at work, on a folder basis. The current folder that I'm using is /media/my_share which I can browse to and get the files I need, so it is an acceptable solution however....

It would be nice if it was possible to get this shared drive to appear in Thunar as a mapped drive in the same way as removable drive such as a usb key. Has anyone managed to do this?

Just drag the folder you want from the main window to the left side under the separator. (bookmarks in thunar)
