Mouse & trackpad settings gone

Hi everyone

I have stubbled on a small problem.
My mouse and trackpad settings has gone up in smoke, it's a bit frustrating, so does anybody have an idea how to solve it?

 

Maybe it's this? -

"If your Keyboard & Mouse prefpane stops working, go to /System/Library/PreferencePanes/Keyboard.prefPane/Contents/Resources/ and delete your language .lproj file. The prefpane will now be in English but at least it'll work. Alternatively, you can try replacing it with the .lproj file from a genuine Mac OS X install: it worked for me under Mac OS X 10.5.4, but not under Mac OS X 10.5.6..."

Noppe tried this at first since I thought that was the problem but... no luck.

I'm thinking if somebody can upload their pref file so I can test if that works.

 

Does nobody read the guides they supposedly follow?
You should have backed up the prefpane before updating to 10.5.6
I would upload mine but AAO is completely dead at the moment

 

I did back it up...
And it worked perfectly for like a week, but one day it was just gone.

THATs whats making me confused.

 

do you still have the backup - if yes, you could try to replace it again.

 

Noppe I guess that one went after a day or two when I tought everything worked ok.

 

Installed any software recently?
Things don't just break, even Hacks...

 

In case you want to try it - i still have the old keyboard.prefpane, i archived them all.

Oh, cant really remember... I had it like this for over a month now.

 

Cheers... but it didn't work. Still the same only keyboard settings, so now im out of ideas what could have gone wrong.
