    Hello,

I've being trying to figure out this issue with my girlfriends Aspire one, but I can't seem too...
Anyways, when she plays mp3's they stutter, jerk, lag, or what ever you wish to call it, its sounds terrible. Its happens almost consistently, but does come and go.

I've uninstalled the realtek drivers, tried using other music software, and I know its not the mp3's. So I have no clue why its still happening!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

Is this with the SSD or Harddrive AAO?

Sounds like it could be an issue pulling the data off the SSD, which may be to slow. Have you tried playing them off an SD card (preferably class 4 or 6)?

There are no other issues that I am aware of with the laptop.....hmm, let me boot into a linux distro to try an mp3.

No luck with that, mp3 played but no audio output at all. Probably incorrect driver in linux (bt3 version).

    Anyways, still searching for clues..

It happened to me before on few of windows xp on different systems. I've tried update sound driver, service packs , uninstall & install drivers. My final resort is only clean install solve the issue. I think it's problem with windows.

Make sure the hard drive is in ULTRA DMA mode 5, not PIO.

Try listening the mp3 with earphones instead. Also, turn down the screen brightness.

Happened to me on Vista...i figured it was because of the cpu being used to max by other programs...try using another player rather than windows media player or itunes...
