Mplayer problem

    How can i solve this probelm???
    ihave a fatal error in Mplayer that report me to some bugreport thing, you know why this hapend??

    Hi, I had the same message. I cant really ingore it because I get only sound, no picture at all. I have Mplayer on my Ubuntu 8.10 and everything is fine..Do I need any more codecs or different player. I tried to use install/remove programs without luck(could not find codec or could not solve dipendencies) Can someone tell me what to do?

    Have you tried uninstalling it,,Then reinstalling it.
    I had a similar problem with the VLC player,,and reinstalling it did the trick.

    \hi, Installed totem..now it works some of the files but still not perfect. How can I dowload codecs (the right ones) to make it work?? I tried but there were too many different option!

    Problem now solved...VLC was installed, it seems plays more or less everything.
