    Hi
I have some video files that my wife wants to watch on her Acer aspire one runnig Linux. When I click on a file the message "Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x44495658" is returned.
How can I play these avi files on the aspire one?
please forgive me just using the forum to get an answer, but the boss is the one with the one..if you see what I mean, and she doesn't like forums.

Murphy's Law strongly implies that trying to load mplayer from the current version of Fedora (F-13) will require upgrade that will totally bork Linpus (which was based on the now long past end-of-life Fedora 8). If you go with mplayer, make sure you get a Fedora 8 version.

On the other hand, it's probably time for the one with the one (or her trusty sidekick) to backup her personal files and replace Linpus with something current. If the wife's one is an A110, be aware that using an SD card in the left slot as a seemless extension of the SSD is a Linpus thing; no other distro (that I'm aware of) will do that.
