I've just picked up an AO 150 Aw from tesco in their clearance sale for £116. Unfortunately it runs Linpus and the store manager said loading another OS would void the warranty.

I'd like to load XP but its going to have to go into another partition because of the above. I have a fresh copy of XP Media Centre Edition kicking around and wondered if I could install that but exclude the bits that'll bring my AO to its knees. Never having installed XP Media Edition, I don't know how easy it is to tailor the installation so a "starter for 10" would be appreciated.

BTW: can the AO boot of an SD card or does it have to be a USB stick?

    Thanks

Can't say about SD card but USb boot is enable and working perfectly.

Dual boot your system. I am using AOA150 preinstall xp home and Vista basic.
