mupen64plus

    Hiya - anyone using mupen64plus under 9.10? It has terrible performance on my system, but project 64 runs flawlessly under xp. I have the 120g hd, 1gig ram, 1.6ghz model laptop, and like I said running ubuntu 9.10 w/gnome any help would be appreciated.

    I've run into the same issue here before. Mupen64 runs awfully under Ubuntu, but Project64 runs quite well under Windows 7 for me.

    I believe it's an emulator issue. My stronger laptop (running a dual-2.1ghz AMD Turion processor) also choked a bit under Mupen64. :/

    When I tried it there were some issues with audio, it skipped, but I was able to play mario64 with a decent performance. Maybe trying running the latest version? Maybe some windows alternative that runs on wine?

    Yeah I was running the desktop distro, when I installed netbook remix I get descent performance with mupen64. Still not as good as windows though. Kinda sucks but its playable.
