my acer aspire one is dead!!

    My guess is all power to hold the EProm settings is drained and the bios goes back to default.

    yer there is a small battray (cell or button) that holds cmos settings its under the bord and the good thing is it removable i have also seen a short out pins to discharge the batary backed ram.

    by the way a eprom is a electronic erasable and besides its non volitile.

    but yer incorrect or curruopt setting will haut a machine which has no way of escape.
