My Acer D55 randomly freezes, please help

    I have an acer D55 and it came with XP. I installed Ubuntu the day I got it and everything was perfect, didn't even need to download any drivers. I just entered the university and had to install Win7 because of a special software that needs it (can't do it in Wine) but after installing it and the drivers from Acer.com it randomly freezes. I tried a different version of Windows (inb4 I stole them, there's a Windows site where you can download the ISO's for free) and the same thing happened, it randomly freezes and I have to reboot it. I don't know if its the VGA driver or what else is causing it, but I'm dying here.

    If anybody knows what can I do I would REALLY appreciate it if you told me, I've been using a friend's for college but I can't borrow it forever. Thanks!!!
