My acer is always using 32 Bit color, why???

    I have XP and I always set the 16 bit color instead of 32 bit color in the control panel setting. But it always comes back to 32 Bit color. What gives?

    Does any of your software have compatibility issues with 32bit color? If not, why are you complaining. 32bit color is obviously better than 16bit.

    but 16 bit is often faster.


    I have had similar issues with video games I try to set to 16 bit to speed things up, It would appear that the gfx just does not support it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

    The graphic card supports 16bit gfx... at least on my computer.
    Try setting the color depth using intel driver program instead the graphic properties window.
