my aspire acer one battery

    I have a aspire acer one a150l notebook and its pretty new lets just say its well a few years old now or less but not been used hardy maybe a couple of timess i see that my notebook does not start up unless plugged into the mains,is my battery broken surely not as its not old,can anyone tell me how to check or what i do to check,this notebook is harly been used.If it did need a new battery where would be the best places to get one,what would i need to find and at best prices,and did i not read sometime back you can buy a battery bigger than what i have not to last longer??

    First, update your BIOS: make a USB stick bootable with HP format tool and copy the BIOS files to this stick, then boot from this stick, you'll need to press F12 for the bootmenu on your netbook. I think, the BIOS version has an influence on the behavior of the charger.
    Second, for the battery issue: the netbook draws current from the battery, even if switched off. After some weeks the voltage level drops under a certain threshold that leads to this battery won't charge issue. Your battery isn't broken, it is only quite empty and the charger needs some time to recover your battery.
    Give it a try.
