I'm running Windows XP which came installed on my "One". For some reason, when I hit the Start, My Network does not show up in the popup box on the right under My Computer. The computer has been configured for the home network under the correct workgroup name and it accesses the internet via the home router.

Any ideas as to where the "My Network" icon is...

Open My Computer and on the left under Other Places you will see My Network Places.

enable the icon through the start menu properties settings.

You can also mount your network storage as a network drive.

If you don't know how to do the above two things, just enter network address of your shared computer.

    eg. \\ACERASPIREONE\SHARED\DOCUMENTS\MY MUSIC etc

Thanks to all the help in this manner. I enabled the "My Network Places" in properties under the Start menu. I've had and seen 4 or 5 XP machines where this icon was enabled automatically. Must be some deal on the Acer units where this has to be done manually.
