Need help for Acer Aspire One

Hi all ,

I am currently having a problem with my Acer Aspire One netbook, when i on the netbook , the power on got light but the screen and key board is not able to use , the screen is blank and there is no light in the Cap Lock , Number ,Battery and hard disk. Does anyone out there face this problem before?

 

Sounds a bit like the infamous 'AAO won't come out of StandBy' but don't want to jump to any conclusions, so, could you supply a bit more info please.

• What model Acer Aspire One ? Windows or Linux ?
• How long have you been using it and have there been any other problems ?
• What color is the Power button light, is it blinking ?
• Did you leave it ON for a period of time without using it and then it turned itself OFF automatically or did you just turn it OFF by pressing the Power button and now it won't turn ON ?
• Had you just installed some new or updated software ?

Things to try to 'restart' your NetBook:
• Press and hold down the Power button until the light goes out (5 > 10 seconds) then wait 5 minutes. Press the Power button again to start.
• Disconnect the NetBook from the wall power (charger) then take out the battery and leave sitting for 5 minutes. Connect to the wall power again and try to start.

Answer to your question above:
A). I am using Acer Aspire One AOA 150-Bc , My OS is Microsoft XP Home SP2
B). I have been using this for abt 9 months , so far i just encounter this problem only
C). The Power Light is green and it does not blink
D). After i install a program but it fail then i do a restart of the netbook it become like this
E). I do install some software.

So now it does not look so much like the StandBy problem I experienced but rather some sort of corruption.
This will probably mean the need for a clean up of your AAO but unfortunately I am not the one to help you with that.
There are many experienced users here who can guide you through the process and I am sure one will drop by shortly.
They will probably want to know the name of the program that failed to install just before this problem started.
