you have to turn the details down a bit in order for it to work properly.
you can turn down the resolution for it to work properly with high FPS.

remember to turn off any apps on the pc you are not using, definitely firewall, anti-virus, wireless networking, browsers, messenger, basically everything and if you want to go the whole hog you can make a gaming profile and turn off any background services that are not needed either, this way you will get the most out of the machine...

Ranjit, the AA1 runs Quake III just fine so anything based on that, like Wolfenstein, should run fine too - if not, it's probably a driver or settings issue. :geek: Since the settings aren't that complicated to turn down, I'd say in your case I'd look at the drivers.

    Hey Ranjit

I now have the following games running on my acer:

    Aliens Vs Predator 2
    Deus Ex
    Freespace 2
    MDK2
    Project IGI
    Quake 3
    Return to Castle Wolfenstein
    Revolt
    Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

    They're all oldies but goodies.
These are all running on full resolution (1024 x 600 where supported but 800 x 600 where not) with the settings cranked up to full. They're all running with 60+ fps.

I have precisely the same Acer configuration as you do (120 gig HD, 1gig memory) so you should be getting simlar performance. The link to the driver I downloaded is below:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_ ... bmit=Go%21

Try installing that and let me know how you get on?

Wierd Very Wierd it seems it can run Return to Castle Wolfenstien perfect but not Wolfenstien Enemy Territory and since thier pratically the same engine its rly wierd also it cant run halflife based games again very wierd since the graphics in half life are nothing compared to Wolfenstien, i have a feeling something is funky with the intel drivers
