Need to do anything with microphone?

    I have recently received my Aspire with Linpus operating system. I tried the webcam to make video and the there was no sound. I get sound when I go to websites like YouTube. I went to the "audio" settings and tried boosting the microphone. No Luck. So I went back to audio settings and set it for external microphone, plugged in an an external mcrophone and tried making another video using the webcam. Once again no success.

    Is there anything else I should be doing to record sound or do I need to send in for Warranty repair?

    you could try re-installing the audio drvers, before senidug it for repair

    I have the same audio issue.
    Any recommendations as to source of Linpus Linux audio drvers and noob how to instructions?

    I found a thread with a link to Acer driver download, but it seemed to be only XP.
