.NET Framework?

    A Christmas present for my wife-----Every time that we log on the following message comes up in a dialog box-----"To run this application you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework: V2.0 50727 Contact your application publisher about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET Framework"
    Clicking OK gets rid of the dialog box and the machine seems to run fine , but it's a pain having to do it everytime. As a beginner I have no idea where to go from here. I have checked the forums but can't find any reference to my problem. Machine is running XP with a 160gb HDD and 1gb of ram. All assistance gratefully received.

    Problem solved---went on to the Microsoft site and downloaded the software. Everything works just fine now and the dialog box no longer comes up when we log in.
