There is a wireless switch under the wireless indicator - push it to the right, the light goes out, wireless off. Push it to the right again, light comes on, wireless on. Mousemat - All I can suggest is try 3211 - maybe another rebuild. If you have a USB stick, use WinCrisis, that way Windows isn't running and you can flash it using the machines own internal process. Download WinCrisis - and the 3211 BIOS patch. Delete the BIOS.WPH file from the WinCrisis folder. Copy the .WPH file from the BIOS patch folder into the WinCrisis folder and rename it BIOS.WPH Run WinCrisis, and tell it to make your USB stick for you. Then turn off the machine. Put the USB into a USB socket on the LEFT of the machine (I use the one nearest the microphone socket) Hold down FN+ESC and press the power key. If you have an indicator light on the USB stick, it should now flash RAPIDLY - Netbook power light will also pulse yellow - let go of all the keys. LEAVE the machine alone - after a minute or so, the power light will go OUT. USB light (if you have one) will stay ON. LEAVE the machine alone - it will eventually power down and restart. If that doesn't work, then my theory about 3211 and a rebuild are wrong - and something else must have happened to my machine!? (although no idea what!)
