There is a wireless switch under the wireless indicator - push it to the right, the light goes out, wireless off. Push it to the right again, light comes on, wireless on.

Mousemat - All I can suggest is try 3211 - maybe another rebuild. If you have a USB stick, use WinCrisis, that way Windows isn't running and you can flash it using the machines own internal process.

Download WinCrisis - and the 3211 BIOS patch.
Delete the BIOS.WPH file from the WinCrisis folder.
Copy the .WPH file from the BIOS patch folder into the WinCrisis folder and rename it BIOS.WPH
Run WinCrisis, and tell it to make your USB stick for you.
    Then turn off the machine.
Put the USB into a USB socket on the LEFT of the machine (I use the one nearest the microphone socket)
Hold down FN+ESC and press the power key.
If you have an indicator light on the USB stick, it should now flash RAPIDLY - Netbook power light will also pulse yellow - let go of all the keys.
LEAVE the machine alone - after a minute or so, the power light will go OUT. USB light (if you have one) will stay ON.
LEAVE the machine alone - it will eventually power down and restart.

If that doesn't work, then my theory about 3211 and a rebuild are wrong - and something else must have happened to my machine!? (although no idea what!)

Finally solved my Acer 751H freezing problem :)

Took the THIRD Acer back to maplins 24 hours after picking it up and exchanged it for a Dell Inspiron 1100. OK so it cost me £65.00 more, doesn't have 3G or Bluetooth built in, but does have Windows 7 Home Premium and a 250gig hard drive.

Just installing Office 2007 and Photoshop.

    Looking good so far.

here in Italy happpen the same, I sent an email to acer support for more info.
I think Acer did a wrong design and doesn't want to admit it.
If they are serious company they should recall all the prodution.

I hope they can fix the problem if not I will ask for refund.

    D'oh!

First freeze since I got it back...was running IE8, using Facebook - went to the toilet, came back - frozen.

Still, that's several weeks without one - now we shall see if it does it again!

    Blacklight,
That doesnt sound good, but as you say at least you had a freeze free couple of weeks.

Since I swpped mine for the Dell 11Z, my life has been freeze free. Its a shame though becasue I really liked the Acer 751H, it was just all there, 3G, blueetooth all built in.

Does exist anyone who has ACER Aspire one AO751H which does not freeze?
I do not know if to ask a refund or to hope for having it working?

    Thanks a lot.

Maybe because 99% of the affected 751h were not fixed after several visits to the Acer repair centers, as you may read in the previous posts. You were lucky enough to have your motherboard replaced at the first time, so you were not upset after getting back a not-repaired netbook from the service. ;)

By the way, if you live in Greece I may need your help in getting my netbook fixed, too. Please pm me for more information!

hehe, I put my netbook in my backpack too. and yes it runs really really hot, I usually try and let it cool after running it for a while, it's kinda funny though
I can't believe the battery even lasts when the system gets so hot :O (so much energy dissipated as heat)
It really needs fans and good air flow, I haven't tried one of those cooling mats.

    :)
anyway hope my screen doesn't crack

    So,

i just bought this notebook despite all warnings cause it was 2/3 the price of 10" netbooks of similar configs.
anyways to begin with i wanted to remove all the bloatware/freeware installed in the machine.. which i started and managed to get a few stuff off.. but for the other stuff i wasnt sure if i should remove it or if its necessary for system performance. so im attaching a few pics of the installed software and if you could please let me know which ones i can remove safely.

wow, you got it with windows 7/vista installed? :D
anyway you can probably remove everything except the gma drivers

    ^ very helpful

but really I'd remove macaffee, mainly because it drains too much cpu and leaves you with very little :)
