    NETRUNNER “Linux”is the easiest to use and the closest to a windows
    operating system I’ve found .

    I've not heard of this distro before (although I don't often use Linux!) - does it differ much from Ubuntu? That's the one I tend to use if I dabble :).

    Given linux are free I try a few most will run from a usb drive so trying them is easy

    Ian - it is a Kubuntu derivative... Many of its' Apps do not work the same way (or use the same syntax) as 'straight' Ubuntu.
    Even after five years of various iterations, of Ubuntu... 10.02, 12.xx 13.xx and some derivatives... Lubuntu, Kubuntu, JoliOS, PCLinux OS I find that changing to SOME versions of Ubuntu, like Kubuntu and Lubuntu usually require booting into Google and searching for help...

    Best in my opinion, is Linux Lite, has everything built in, and what is not... is installable from a menu and appears so like Windows; my wife is using it happily...
