I'm sure this has been asked somewhere but I've spent the last hour searching the net and come up empty... Will Netsumbler 0.4.0 work with my Acer Aspire AOA 150 netbook? I have installed it and it says "No Wireless adapter found." My wireless card works fine otherwise, however. Is there any way this can work?

    Adapter: Atheros AR5007EG
    Windows Xp Sp3

Set NetStumbler to use the NDIS driver in the options, and it will work within the limitations of the NDIS specification - I.E. no calibrated signal levels. Also make sure that you are using Windows built in client manager, and not the Atheros ACU.
NetStumbler will take care of disabling WZC upon start, and reenable WZC when you shut down NetStumbler. Just make sure you are NOT connected to an accesspoint before starting NetStumbler.

If you have a GPS attached, remember to upload your stumbling logs to http://www.wigle.net. And please remember that wardriving is about detecting, not connecting.

Thank you, but I'm afraid I can't find any options to use NDIS.

The Device option in the menuline. It should list two entries for Atheros, where the second option says NDIS 5.1 at the end.

Unfortunately the device option menu just shows "no suitable devices found."

*Edit* - I just downloaded the latest drivers for that card and now have the NDIS option! I had thought the updated drivers wouldn't matter much since mine were only a few months old and Netstumbler is...well... a lot older. Thank you VERY much for the advice and I look forward to playing around with this program.

    Thanks once again!
