My new Aspire One D150 I have managed to connect to my desktop HP Pavilion via wireless and a new Linksys router/modem. Both comfusers run XP Home.

I have managed to set up my HP DVD Drive and its C Drive and a USB 1TB hard drive so that they can be "seen" on the Acer, and the C drive and the 1TB hard drive can be written to as well.

My problem is that, although I can read from the DVD drive, I can't write to it from the Acer even though it has the same access boxes ticked as the rest. This is really bugging me since I want to make a recovery disc for the Aspire! (It nags me every few minutes to do this.) When I try to make such a disc the program just says that it cannot detect a writable optical drive.

    Any suggestions, please?
